Jewish cemetery (Schermbeck)

The Schermbeck Jewish Cemetery is located in the Schermbeck municipality in the Wesel district in North Rhine-Westphalia . As a Jewish cemetery , it is a monument and has been registered in the list of monuments since April 5, 2007 under monument number 34 .

The first evidence of a burial on the Bösenberg is dated to 1678. The oldest tombstone dates from 1801, the last burial took place in 1935. 36 tombstones have been preserved.

The November pogroms of 1938 have been commemorated in the Jewish cemetery since 2003 .
