Neuenbürg Jewish cemetery
The Neuenbürg Jewish cemetery is a Jewish cemetery in Neuenbürg , a district of Kraichtal in northern Baden-Württemberg . The cemetery is located next to the Christian cemetery.
On April 8, 1945, the Vaihingen concentration camp was liberated by French troops. Approx. A little later, 600 typhus-sick concentration camp prisoners were housed in Neuenbürg for convalescence. Among these were numerous Polish Jews . Seven of them died in Neuenbürg and were buried next to the communal cemetery. The Jewish cemetery created by these seven graves has an area of 0.30 ares and is now within the general cemetery.
