Jewish cemetery Wertheim
The Jewish cemetery Wertheim is a Jewish cemetery in Wertheim , a town in the Main-Tauber district in northern Baden-Württemberg .
The cemetery of the Jewish community in Wertheim was laid out in the Middle Ages , as the oldest surviving tombstone from 1405 attests. The cemetery is located on the Schlossberg opposite the Main Bridge and has an area of 73.44 acres . Today there are still 498 tombstones and the last burial took place in 1938.
This cemetery is the oldest surviving Jewish cemetery in Baden-Württemberg and was used until the 20th century.
