Weikersheim Jewish cemetery
The Jewish cemetery Weikersheim is a Jewish cemetery in Weikersheim , a town in the Main-Tauber district in northern Baden-Württemberg .
The dead of the Jewish community in Weikersheim were initially buried in the Jewish cemetery in Unterbalbach . In 1730 a separate cemetery was built on the road to Honsbronn in the Gewann Stadelhof . The Jewish cemetery was laid out together with the Jews in Niederstetten and Laudenbach . It has an area of 46.38 acres and today there are 607 tombstones . The oldest gravestone is from 1730, the last burial took place in 1941.
At times, Jewish communities in the Bavarian border area such as B. Acholshausen , Bütthard , Gaukönigshofen and Tauberrettersheim share the cemetery.
