Jürgen Bauer (doctor)

Jürgen Bauer (born April 6, 1957 ) is a German neurologist and epileptologist .

Life

After studying medicine at the Universities of Göttingen and Frankfurt , Bauer worked at the Epilepsy Center of the Erlangen University Hospital from 1987 to 1991 (with Hermann Stefan ). Since 1991 he has been a senior physician at the Epileptological Clinic at the University Hospital Bonn (with Christian E. Elger ), after his habilitation as a professor. Since 2019 he has been the senior physician at Rainer Surges .

His research fields include neuroendocrine aspects of epilepsy , epilepsy during pregnancy and from an andrological point of view.

Bauer from 1997 to 2001 in medical management of the German Society for Epileptology active from 2001 to 2005 together with Alois Ebner editor of the Springer-Verlag appearing magazine Epileptology .
