Jürgen Bohn
Jürgen Bohn (born October 30, 1959 in Vacha ) is a German engineer, politician ( FDP ) and former Thuringian state minister.
Life
Bohn studied mechanical engineering at the Technical University of Dresden from 1981 to 1985 and was awarded a Dr.-Ing. PhD.
Bohn took part in the demonstrations in Leipzig in 1989 and became district chairman of the LDPD in Bad Salzungen . He belonged to the first freely elected People's Chamber and the 11th German Bundestag . In the state election in Thuringia in 1990, he successfully ran for the FDP and entered the state parliament. After the resignation of Hans-Jürgen Schultz ( FDP ) in September 1991, he took over his office as Minister for Economics and Technology . Bohn had to give up this post after the lost state election in 1994.
The federal party congress of the FDP in 1995 elected Bohn as deputy federal chairman and thus Rainer Ortleb's successor . Two years later, Bohn was replaced by Cornelia Pieper as FDP federal vice. In 1997 he was elected deputy state chairman of the FDP Thuringia .
In the 1999 state election campaign, Bohn, as deputy state chairman, supported the request of the FDP state chairman and top candidate Heinrich Arens , who called on the FDP voters to vote for the CDU with the second vote and thus prevent a red-red coalition. Because of this support, the Thuringian FDP discussed initiating party exclusion proceedings against Bohn, as in the case of Arens.
In the 2004 state elections, Jürgen Bohn ran again for the state parliament on a top list for the FDP. In the federal election in 2005, he applied in constituency 191 (Wartburg district, Eisenach, parts of the Unstrut-Hainich district) as a direct candidate.
Today Jürgen Bohn is a management consultant and honorary consul of Hungary .
