The Federal Congress of the FDP in 1995 held the FDP from 9 to 11 June 1995 in Mainz Rheingoldhalle from. It was the 46th ordinary federal party conference of the FDP in the Federal Republic of Germany .

Course and resolutions

The party congress discussed a liberal law on foreigners and basic principles of environmental policy . It resolved motions on the subjects of Bosnia , Scientology , strengthening vocational training, school policy , the abolition of the solidarity surcharge , German-Czech relations, current legal policy and the so-called summer smog.

Federal Executive

Wolfgang Gerhardt was elected as the new chairman instead of Klaus Kinkel . The opposing candidate Jürgen W. Möllemann lost with 219 to 371 votes.
