The Federal Congress of the FDP in 1978 held the FDP from 12 to 14 November 1978, as Mainz in the Rheingoldhalle from. It was the 29th ordinary federal party conference of the FDP in the Federal Republic of Germany .

The party congress passed an equal rights program . He passed resolutions on the so-called fast breeder , on energy policy , on the amendment of the law against restraints of competition and the law against unfair competition , he raised demands for the protection of liberal freedoms when hiring applicants for the public service and wrote theses to strengthen the free constitutional state.
