The FDP held the European Party Congress 2009 on January 17, 2009 in Berlin . It was an assembly of representatives to draw up the list for the 2009 European elections . The event took place in the Estrel Convention Center Berlin.

Course and resolutions

The motto of the party congress was "For Germany in Europe". The chairman of the FDP group in the European Parliament , Silvana Koch-Mehrin , was elected as the top candidate - as was the case at the FDP Europe Day 2004 . In addition, the program for the European elections “A Europe of Freedom for the World of the 21st Century” was adopted.
