The European Party Congress 2019 of the FDP took place on January 27, 2019 in Berlin . It was a federal representative assembly to draw up the list for the 2019 European elections . On September 24, 2018, the FDP federal executive unanimously proposed the previous general secretary and member of the German Bundestag , Nicola Beer , as the top candidate . It was confirmed as such by the delegates with 85.98 percent of the vote. In addition, the Free Democrats adopted their program for the European elections.
