Robert-Martin Montag (born February 3, 1980 in Erfurt ) is a German politician ( FDP ). He has been General Secretary of the FDP Thuringia since June 2019 . In the state elections in Thuringia in 2019 , he was elected to the Thuringian state parliament.

Life and work

Grew up in Ruhla , Monday after studying political science , sociology , economic and social history in Jena and Istanbul, he was a speaker in the Thuringian state parliament for the FDP parliamentary group . In 2014 he switched to the health industry.

politics

Montag joined the FDP in 2002. He is the district chairman of the FDP in the Wartburg district . On June 15, 2019, he was elected General Secretary of the regional association at the state party conference of the FDP Thuringia . Montag ran for the FDP in the 2019 European elections as a joint candidate of the eastern state associations in seventh place, but was unsuccessful.

In the state elections in Thuringia 2019 , Monday was elected to the Thuringian state parliament. Here he is the parliamentary manager of the FDP parliamentary group.
