The FDP held the extraordinary federal party conference in 1953 from June 26 to 28, 1953 in Lübeck . It was the 2nd extraordinary federal party conference of the FDP in the Federal Republic of Germany .

The party conference took place in the hall of the Lübeck Coliseum and was dominated by the uprising of June 17 in the GDR . With a rally at the inner-German border, the liberals commemorated the victims of the uprising and recalled the GDR citizens' desire for freedom.

The delegates adopted the program for the 1953 federal election . In addition, an economic program and a resolution against the "infiltration" of the FDP by former National Socialists were passed. The board members Reinhold Maier and August Martin Euler spoke .
