The Federal Congress of the FDP in 2015 held the FDP from 15 to 17 May 2015 in Berlin from. It was the 66th ordinary federal party conference of the FDP in the Federal Republic of Germany .

The key proposal "More opportunities through more freedom: Projects for a republic of opportunities" moved the topics of education, taxes, immigration and family policy to the fore.

The Free Democrats decided to campaign for the legalization of cannabis . The drug is said to be available for sale as a stimulant in state-licensed stores for adults, thereby depriving the black market of its basis.

In order to make Germany more attractive for immigrants, the FDP decided to campaign for a points system based on the Canadian model, which records the qualifications of immigrants. Naturalization should be possible after four years at the earliest. Asylum seekers should receive a work permit. In order to facilitate the recruitment of skilled workers, the FDP wants to test English as a second language in selected authorities.

Further resolutions were: “ Solidarity surcharge must expire in 2019”, “Diversity of religions 500 years after the Reformation” and “Ratification of the Istanbul Convention”.

The party congress changed the federal statutes and decided to make a financial contribution to the upcoming state and local elections in the form of a special contribution. The district associations will transfer 25 euros annually for each member until 2017.
