The Federal Congress of the FDP in 2002 held the FDP from 10 to 12 May 2002 in Mannheim from. It was the 53rd Ordinary Federal Party Congress of the FDP in the Federal Republic of Germany .

Resolutions and course

The most important item on the agenda was the adoption of the “Citizens Program 2002” for the Bundestag election . In addition, discussions were held about the FDP's own candidate for chancellor, and new versions of the arbitration rules and the financial and contribution rules were resolved.

The speeches on the first day were given by honorary chairmen Hans-Dietrich Genscher and Otto Graf Lambsdorff , general secretary Cornelia Pieper and Rainer Brüderle . The FDP parliamentary group chairman Wolfgang Gerhardt , Jürgen W. Möllemann and party chairman Guido Westerwelle followed on the second day .
