The Federal Congress of the FDP in 1950 held the FDP from 29 to 30 April 1950 in Dusseldorf from. This was the second annual national convention of the FDP in the Federal Republic of Germany and is the first national party under Chairman Franz Blucher , who in September 1949 to the President elected Theodor Heuss was succeeded. The party conference took place in the Rheinterrassen on the Hofgartenufer.

The motto of the party conference was "Aim and path - 'Justice elevates a people'". He adopted the “Guiding Principles for Cultural Policy”.
