The Federal Congress of the FDP in 2005 held the FDP from 5 to 7 May 2005 in Cologne from. It was the 56th ordinary federal party conference of the FDP in the Federal Republic of Germany .

At the party conference, chairman Guido Westerwelle was re-elected with 80.1 percent of the vote. Dirk Niebel became the new General Secretary. It was decided to introduce a citizen's benefit and to reform the corporate tax .
