The Thuringian Ministry of Economics, Science and Digital Society is one of the eight ministries of the Free State of Thuringia and the state's Ministry of Economics , it was founded in 1990. The headquarters of the ministry is at Max-Reger-Strasse 4–8 on the southern edge of Erfurt in the vicinity of most of the other ministries.

Wolfgang Tiefensee has been Minister since December 5, 2014, with an interruption from February 5 to March 3, 2020 .

history

Between 1920 and 1952 there was a Ministry of Economics in Thuringia . With the re-establishment of the country in 1990, a Ministry of Economic Affairs was set up again. The ministry had the following names:

  1. Ministry of Economics and Technology (1990–1992)
  2. Ministry of Economy and Transport (1992–1994)
  3. Ministry of Economy and Infrastructure (1994–1999)
  4. Ministry of Economy, Labor and Infrastructure (1999-2004)
  5. Ministry of Economy, Technology and Labor (2004–2009)
  6. Ministry of Economy, Labor and Technology (2009-2014)
  7. Ministry of Economy, Science and Digital Society (since 2014)

  • Dept. 2: Economic Policy, Tourism and Digital Society
  • Dept. 3: Economic Development
  • Dept. 4: Universities
  • Dept. 5: Research, Technology and Innovation
