The Thuringian Ministry of Labor, Social Affairs, Health, Women and Family (TMASGFF) is the labor and social ministry and thus one of the nine ministries of the Free State of Thuringia . It is based at Werner-Seelenbinder-Strasse 6 on the southern edge of Erfurt in the immediate vicinity of most of the other ministries. Heike Werner has been the minister since December 5, 2014 with an interruption from February 5 to March 3, 2020 .

history

The ministry was set up for the first time after Thuringia was re-established in 1990 as the "Ministry of Social Affairs and Health" and was already responsible for the area of ​​"work" at that time. From 1999 it was called "Ministry of Social Affairs, Family and Health", the area of ​​"Labor" was transferred to the Ministry of Economic Affairs . With the formation of the state government Ramelow I in 2014, the departments were redesigned. The area of ​​"work" came back to the Ministry of Social Affairs, the areas of youth, sport and consumer protection were assigned to other departments.
