Jürgen Dorka

Jürgen Dorka (born April 8, 1934 in Naumburg / Saale; † August 16, 2008 in Bad Harzburg ) was a German architect and politician ( CDU ).

Dorka switched to high school after attending elementary school. He did an apprenticeship as a carpenter and successfully passed his master carpenter examination . Following his master craftsman examination, he began studying at what is now the University of Applied Sciences in Hildesheim . Various activities followed for Dorka in various architectural offices in Düsseldorf. He has been working as a freelance architect in Bad Harzburg since 1965 .

In 1965 he became a member of the Junge Union since 1965 and of the CDU since 1968. Dorka is a member of the supervisory board of the Bad Harzburg business enterprises as well as a board member of the "Society for the Promotion of the Harzburg Music Days" and ultimately also a member of the board of the support group for culture and social affairs.

Between 1968 and 1972 he was a councilor in the Bündheim community . In 1972 he was first councilor and between 1981 and 1986 also mayor of Bad Harzburg. In 1986 he became 1st Deputy Mayor. From 1968 to 1974 he was also a member of the district council for the Wolfenbüttel district . From 1974 to 1977 and again between 1981 and 1986 he was elected to the district council of the district of Goslar.

He was a member of the Lower Saxony state parliament for the 11th to 13th electoral term.
