Jürgen Fuhrmann (born January 28, 1949 - July 9, 2004 ) was a German soccer player . The striker played 17 league games in the Bundesliga for Borussia Neunkirchen in the 1967/68 season .
Career
Fuhrmann played for Borussia Neunkirchen when he was young. On February 14, 1967, the offensive player was used for the first time in the youth national team of the DFB. In the 0-1 defeat in Mönchengladbach against England, he played alongside Gerhard Heinze (goalkeeper), Egon Schmitt , Rainer Zobel , Seppl Pirrung , Ewald Schäffner and Roland Weidle . In May 1967 he took part in the UEFA youth tournament in Turkey with the DFB youth team. In the three group matches against France, Austria and Hungary, he scored two goals. With Borussia, he made promotion to the Bundesliga in 1967 , followed by immediate relegation, during which time Fuhrmann played 17 times in the Bundesliga for Borussia. Fuhrmann made his Bundesliga debut under coach Željko Čajkovski on the first round matchday, August 19, 1967, in the 1: 2 away defeat at 1. FC Kaiserslautern. He came on as a substitute for right winger Hugo Ulm in the second half .
After relegation he stayed for two more seasons with Borussia. After the 1969/70 season, when the fast attacker at the top had scored 19 goals for the team from the Ellenfeldstadion in 24 games in the Southwest Football Region , he moved to Belgium for VV St. Truiden for the 1970/71 season . After a year he returned to Germany and from then on played for SV Röchling Völklingen . In the 1972/73 season, under coach Helmuth Johannsen , Völklingen was level on points with FSV Mainz 05 in the southwest and Fuhrmann came in the Bundesliga promotion round alongside teammates such as Jürgen Stars , Hans-Werner Kremer , Robert Pötzschke , Horst Berg and Klaus Hommrich against Rot-Weiss Essen, SV Darmstadt 98, VfL Osnabrück and Wacker 04 Berlin to seven appearances in which he scored two goals.
From 1975 Fuhrmann worked as a trainer in Saarland, twice with his former club in Neunkirchen. In the 1990/91 and 1991/92 seasons he trained Rot-Weiß Hasborn-Dautweiler . Several times, 1975-1981 and in the 1982/83, 1983/84, 1993/94 and 1994/95 seasons he coached SV Elversberg . During the last season he was replaced by the coaching team Frank Holzer / Günter Hermann. He also trained the SV Fraulautern between 1984 and 1985 .
