Jürgen Lang

Jürgen Lang (born October 28, 1943 in Konstanz ) is a German Romance studies and professor at the Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg .

Life

Jürgen Lang studied history and Romance studies in Tübingen and Paris . From 1974 to 1979 he was a lecturer for the German Academic Exchange Service at the University of Salamanca . He passed the pedagogical examination for teaching at grammar schools in Baden-Württemberg and then worked as a study assessor at a grammar school in Rottenburg am Neckar . Between 1983 and 1988 he did his doctorate at the New Philology Faculty of the University of Tübingen, and in 1988/89 Jürgen Lang completed his habilitation in the Department of Modern Foreign Language Philologies at the Free University of Berlin . From 1989 to 2009 he was Professor of Romance Philology at the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg.
