Jürgen Stadelmann

Jürgen Stadelmann (born June 7, 1959 in Wittenberge ) is a former German politician ( CDU ) in Salzwedel . He was a member of the Landtag (MdL) of Saxony-Anhalt for the constituency of Salzwedel and was State Secretary in the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment of Saxony-Anhalt from 2009 to 2011 . He is currently the managing director of the State Agency for Exempting Contaminated Sites in Saxony-Anhalt.

Life and work

After completing his vocational training in Magdeburg and completing basic military service with the NVA , Stadelmann studied water management at the TU Dresden from 1981 to 1986 . He then worked as a technologist. In 1988/1989 a two-semester postgraduate course (business informatics) followed at the Technical University of Magdeburg . After various activities in the wastewater / environment sector, from 1998 to 2006 he was responsible for dismantling at EEG-Erdöl Erdgas GmbH Salzwedel / Berlin.

Jürgen Stadelmann was born on July 7th, 2012 with Liane Stadelmann. Radespiel is married and has three children. The comedian Ingmar Stadelmann is his son.

Stadelmann joined the New Forum in 1989 . He became a member of the CDU in 1993. From 1994 to 2011 he was a member of the district board of the CDU of the Altmarkkreis Salzwedel (treasurer / deputy district chairman), from 2001 to 2011 chairman of the CDU city association in Salzwedel and from 2002 to 2012 an assessor in the state board of the CDU of Saxony-Anhalt. Since 1994 he was a member of the district assembly of the Altmarkkreis Salzwedel and was chairman of the CDU parliamentary group there from 1995 to 2004. From 1998 to 2004, Stadelmann was also a member of the city council of the Hanseatic city of Salzwedel and deputy chairman of the city council.

Stadelmann had been a member of the state parliament of Saxony-Anhalt since 2002 ; he was elected as a direct candidate in the Salzwedel constituency in 2002 and 2006. He was the environmental policy spokesman for the CDU parliamentary group and a member of the Committee on the Environment and the Committee on Federal and European Affairs and the Media. In the 6th electoral term he is again the environmental policy spokesman and chairman of the working group environment and also a member of the working group finances of the CDU parliamentary group as well as a member of the environment and finance committee of the state parliament.

He represented Saxony-Anhalt from 2005 to 2009 in the Congress of Local and Regional Authorities of the Council of Europe and was re-elected to the Congress in 2012. Since 2012 he has been chairman of the board of the foundation for the environment, nature and climate protection (SUNK) of the state of Saxony-Anhalt, since 2008 chairman of the foundation German-Bulgarian meeting place Plovdiv and since 2007 deputy chairman of the German-Bulgarian society Saxony-Anhalt eV

After the resignation of Petra Wernicke and the appointment of Hermann Onko Aeikens as the new minister, Jürgen Stadelmann became State Secretary in the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment of Saxony-Anhalt from October 21, 2009 to May 18, 2011 and resigned from his state parliament mandate.

On December 6, 2011, Stadelmann replaced Nico Schulz , who had been elected mayor of the Hanseatic city of Osterburg (Altmark) , via the state list in the state parliament. In the 2014 European elections , Stadelmann ran for second place on the state list; however, only top candidate Sven Schulze entered the European Parliament .

On February 1, 2015, Stadelmann took over as Managing Director of the State Agency for Contaminated Sites Clearance (LAF) of the State of Saxony-Anhalt in Magdeburg.
