The Mexican Lopezia ( Lopezia racemosa ) is a species of the genus Lopezia in the evening primrose family (Onagraceae).

The Mexican Lopezie is an annual or perennial , herbaceous plant achieved the stature heights of 10 to 150 centimeters. There are 4 petals . The two upper petals are kneeled, linear to lanceolate and each have a gland, the two lateral ones have a nail and an egg-shaped or almost circular plate. A fertile and a sterile, corolla-like stamen are present. The fruit is an opening capsule fruit .
The flowering period extends from June to November.
Occurrence
The Mexican Lopezie occurs in Mexico , Guatemala and El Salvador in pine and oak forests, in dry bushes and on fields at altitudes of 2200 to 3100 meters.

The Mexican Lopezie is rarely used as an annual ornamental plant for summer flower beds. It has been in culture since 1804 at the latest.
