Jürgen W. Bösche

Jürgen Walter Bösche (born January 28, 1928 in Berlin-Reinickendorf ; † May 19, 2015 ) was a German lawyer in the medical self-administration.

Life

Bösche studied law in Berlin. After completing traineeship training, working as an assistant at the University of Münster and obtaining a doctorate as a Dr. jur. he initially worked as a lawyer. On February 1, 1956, he joined the joint legal department of the German Medical Association (BÄK) and the National Association of Statutory Health Insurance Physicians (KBV) in Cologne. In succession to Arnold Hess , he headed the joint legal department from July 1, 1973 to 1997.

Bösche was a co-founder and board member of the Federal Association of Independent Professions , the Ludwig Sievers Foundation , the German Society for Statutory Health Insurance Physicians and the Central Institute for Statutory Health Insurance . He also led the seminar of the National Association of Statutory Health Insurance Physicians in Berlin.

Bösche has significantly influenced numerous legislative procedures and shaped today's statutory health insurance physician law and medical professional law in legislation and jurisdiction, wrote the editor-in-chief of the Deutsches Ärzteblatt Heinz Stüwe. In 2008, the chairman of the board of the National Association of Statutory Health Insurance Physicians, Andreas Köhler, called Bösche the "gray eminence" of the German medical profession.
