Jacen Burrows
Jacen Burrows (born September 11, 1972 in San Diego , California ) is an American illustrator and comic book artist , best known for his work for Avatar Press . In addition, together with other draftsmen, he illustrated numerous sets of rules for pen & paper role-playing games , especially for the Dragon Lance (in the US original Dragonlance ), a campaign setting for the Advanced Dungeons & Dragons system .
biography
Jacen Burrows graduated from Savannah College of Art and Design in 1996 with a degree in sequential art . Throughout his career, Burrows worked with several comic book publishers, including Caliber Press and London Night Studios. He is currently working under an exclusive contract for Avatar Press . Since working with Avatar, he has worked with several well-known comic book writers, including Alan Moore , Warren Ellis and Garth Ennis .
His graphic work includes the comics The Courtyard , Neonomicon , Providence , Dark Blue , Scars and 303 , among others . Aside from comics, he has done illustration for several computer game and role-playing companies, including work on Rockstar Games ' Grand Theft Auto: Vice City and TSR's Advanced Dungeons & Dragons . His role models include Matt Wagner , Tim Truman , Alfred Hitchcock and David Lynch .
