Jacob von Staudenheim
Jacob Ritter von Staudenheim (* 1764 in Mainz , † May 17, 1830 in Vienna ) was a German-Austrian doctor.
Life
Staudenheim studied in Paris , Augsburg and under Maximilian Stoll in Vienna. He later became the teacher of Count Karl Borromeo von Harrach . In 1826 he successfully treated Emperor Franz I and was also the personal physician of the Duke of Reichstadt, Napoleon Franz Bonaparte .
He was best known as Beethoven's doctor , to whom he recommended the baths in Teplitz in 1812 . Beethoven also liked to consult him later.
In 1826 he was made a knight.
