Jacupiranga , officially Portuguese Município de Jacupiranga , is a small town in the state of São Paulo , Brazil . The city has an area of ​​around 704 km² and an estimated 17,842 inhabitants in 2018, which makes 24.4 inhabitants per km. Jacupiranga is 33 meters above sea level.

The name Jacupiranga comes from the Tupi language and denotes a red bird from the subfamily Penelope of the genus chickens.

The most important economic branch of the region is banana farming and also cattle and buffalo farming.
