Jake Short (born May 30, 1997 in Indianapolis , Indiana ) is an American actor .

Life

Jake Short, born in 1997 in Indianapolis, the capital of the US state Indiana, began his acting career during his school days, where he was initially only used in small productions. He made his first well-known film appearance in the 2007 film The Anna Nicole Smith Show , where he acted a younger version of Daniel Wayne Smith, the son of Anna Nicole Smith who died in 2006 and who herself died in 2007 at the age of 39. In 2009 he finally got one of the leading roles in the film Jack and Janet Save the Planet , where he first appeared with talented actors such as China Anne McClain or Sierra McCormick . While a guest appearance in the television series Zeke and Luther followed in the same year , Short was also seen in a leading role in the film The Secret of the Rainbow Stone in 2009 . In parallel, three episodes of Dexter were broadcast that year , in which Jake Short was used. For his engagement in The Secret of the Rainbow Stone , he and Jimmy Bennett , Devon Gearhart , Leo Howard , Jolie Vanier and Trevor Gagnon received a Young Artist Award in the category “Best Performance in a Feature Film - Young Ensemble Cast”. In 2010, Jake Short, who has both an older brother and two younger sisters, was used in the short film The Other Side , which will also be used in a feature film that has been in production since 2006. In 2011 further engagements followed for the young actor, including in the short film It Is Dark in Here and in an episode of Shit! My Dad Says was seen. He also made it as Fletcher Quimby in the cast of the Walt Disney series ANT Farm , which also premiered in 2011. In the series he plays the artistically gifted Advanced Natural Talents . In parallel to his acting career, Short attends school and plays on a regional all-star soccer team . The music-loving young actor also plays guitar and tries his hand at various other sports such as martial arts or gymnastics .
