Jakob Franz Lang

Jakob Franz Lang (born February 2, 1799 in Floß (Upper Palatinate) , † July 23, 1869 in Muggendorf (Wiesenttal) ) was a German pastor and politician .

Life

Born as the son of a council surgeon, Lang studied theology in Erlangen after attending the Bayreuth grammar school . During his studies in 1817 he became a member of the Teutonia Erlangen fraternity , but then joined the Bayreuth Landsmannschaft (later Corps Baruthia ) in 1818 . After completing his studies, he became pastor , dean, church councilor and, from 1854, head of school in Hof . From 1855 to 1862 he was a member of the Bavarian Chamber of Deputies . From 1867 he was a member of the district administrator.
