Jakob Friedrich from Märklin

Jakob Friedrich Märklin , from 1834 from Märklin , (born February 12, 1771 in Stuttgart ; † June 18, 1841 ibid) was a German, Lutheran theologian and general superintendent of Heilbronn .

Life

After attending grammar school in Stuttgart, Märklin studied Protestant theology and philosophy at the Tübingen monastery from 1788 to 1793, and in 1790 received a master's degree in philosophy. He then held a position as court master in Marburg an der Lahn until 1795 . This was followed by a study trip to Göttingen and Jena and a job at a Latin school in Bad Cannstatt , before he became a repetiteur at the Tübingen monastery in 1797 and then an associate professor at the Evangelical Theological Seminary in Bebenhausen . From 1802 he was then a full professor, from 1807 at the Evangelical Theological Seminary in Maulbronn . From 1802 he was also editor of the magazine for the education of the mind and heart of young women .

In 1814 he was appointed dean and pastor of Neuenstadt am Kocher , and in 1821 he was appointed prelate and general superintendent of Heilbronn . In this function he was a member of the Second Chamber of the Württemberg Land estates from 1821 until his death . In 1834 he was awarded the Knight's Cross of the Order of the Württemberg Crown .
