Jakob Keller (politician)

Jakob Keller (born July 9, 1873 in Viernheim ; † April 15, 1961 in Berlin-Wilmersdorf ) was a Hessian judge and politician ( center ) and a former member of the state parliament of the People's State of Hesse in the Weimar Republic .

Jakob Keller was the son of the carpenter Johannes Keller and his wife Barbara nee Weidner. Jakob Keller, who was a Catholic, married Magdalene née Ludwig.

Jakob Keller studied law and became a local judge in Wöllstein in 1906 , (chief) magistrate in Osthofen in 1911 and a local judge at the Gießen district court in 1922 . On May 1, 1928, he was appointed regional judge at the Darmstadt Regional Court and was also the district judge in Darmstadt. On May 24, 1928 he became the district court director in Giessen.

On March 17, 1928, he replaced August Nuss in the Hessian state parliament, to which he was a member until the end of the 1931 electoral term.

Since 1893 he was a member of the Catholic student association KDStV Markomannia Würzburg .
