from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Jakob Keusen (* 1966 ; † August 29, 1989 ), called "Jake", was a German musician and drummer. He became known through his work with the Düsseldorf band Die Profis , for which he played from 1984 until his death in 1989, and through his guest appearance with the band Die Toten Hosen .

The time as a member of the band Die Toten Hosen

After Trini Trimpop left "Die Toten Hosen" in October 1985, Keusen stepped in for him. Due to different musical ideas, however, it was clear from the start that this engagement would be limited in time. In January 1986 Jakob Keusen was replaced by Wolfgang Rohde . On the 1987 tour, Keusen had several guest appearances at Die Toten Hosen after Rohde was injured at the Roskilde festival . Keusen acquired the band's entire repertoire overnight and stepped in at short notice. His appearance was published on the album Until the Bitter End .

death

Keusen was stabbed to death in 1989 by a neighbor who felt disturbed by his drum samples in the basement of the house. The perpetrator was sentenced to eight years in prison at the end of 1990 .
