Trini Trimpop

Trini Trimpop (born June 10, 1951 as Klaus-Peter Trimpop in Kierspe ) is a German rock musician and filmmaker.

In the late 1970s, Trimpop was active in the burgeoning Düsseldorf punk scene as a member of the band Der KFC after studying social education . During this time he made his first small films on Super 8 ( Blitzkrieg Bop ). In 1981, Trimpop and Muscha were nominated for the Max Ophüls Prize for the film Humanes Killing . For Decoder (1984) he wrote the script and worked as a producer. Trini Trimpop recorded concert videos for the band ZK .

In 1982 Trimpop joined the band Die Toten Hosen as a drummer and founding member and was involved as a musician and songwriter on the albums Opel-Gang from 1983 and Under the False Flag from 1984. After leaving in 1985, Trimpop worked as a manager for the band from 1986 to 1992. From 1994 to 1998, he and the journalist and musician Hilko Meyer presented the music magazine Keynote on the TV channel Kanal 4 . In 2006, Stereo Also Playable Mono was the first CD of his music project “Makrosoft”. In 2007 he and the other band members received the 1Live crown for the life's work of the band Die Toten Hosen.

2011 his first novel was titled Excess All Areas in Gonzo Publisher .
