Jakob Koganowsky
Jakob Koganowsky (also Koganowski, born February 4, 1874 in Kiev ; † March 15, 1926 in Vienna ) was an Austrian painter of Ukrainian- Jewish descent.
Koganowsky began his art education in a drawing school in Odessa .
From 1898 he studied at the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna with Christian Griepenkerl and continued his studies from November 2, 1899 at the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich with Johann Herterich , Otto Seitz and Heinrich Zügel .
After completing his studies, he worked as a freelance artist in Vienna. He created large-format landscapes as well as deserted views of interiors.
In 1907, 1908 and 1909 he took part in exhibitions at the Vienna Künstlerhaus . In 1911 he showed his works in the Pisko art salon.
