Jakob Marquardt

Jakob Marquardt (born November 4, 1928 in Rietheim ; † July 27, 2007 in Rietheim-Weilheim ) was a German entrepreneur . From 1953 to 1995 he led the from his father Johannes Marquardt in 1925 co-founded automotive and electronics suppliers Marquardt and took over then the post of chairman , which he held until 2003.

On the board of the Federal Association of German Employers' Associations , he represented the Baden-Württemberg state association as its deputy chairman until 1996. Awards

Jakob Marquardt has received numerous awards for his work. He was bearer of the Federal Cross of Merit of the 1st class , holder of the Merit Medal of the State of Baden-Württemberg , the Economic and Staufer Medal of the State of Baden-Württemberg, holder of the Johannes Brenz Medal of the Evangelical Church of Württemberg and the platinum pin of honor of the industrial and Chamber of Commerce Schwarzwald-Baar-Heuberg. His home community of Rietheim-Weilheim made him an honorary citizen and planted a linden tree in the center of the village in his honor .
