Jakow Arkadjewitsch Jakowlew
Yakov Arkadievich Yakovlev ( Russian Яков Аркадьевич Яковлев ; born June 9 . Jul / 21st June 1896 greg. In Grodno ; † 29. July 1938 , original surname Epstein ) was a Soviet party functionary.
Yakovlev joined the Bolsheviks in 1913 . From 1929 he was the People's Commissar for Agriculture, responsible for forced collectivization . In 1936 he appeared as a witness in the first Moscow trial . In 1937 he organized the Great Terror for Stalin in Belarus, the following year he fell victim to himself.
