Jalůvčí (German Kalmswiese ) is the XVII. District of the Czech city of Děčín ( Tetschen ) in northern Bohemia .
Geographical location
The district is located in the northwest of Děčín, west of the district of Prostřední Žleb in a side valley of the Elbe valley. The district is located on the left bank of the Elbe and is part of the Prostřední Žleb cadastral district. .
history
The village was first mentioned in 1579. This is where the main road connection from Dresden via Sněžník ( Schneeberg ) to Tetschen (on the German side the former Reichsstraße 177 ), which was replaced by the Elbuferstraße in 1938, ran. A German-Bohemian majority lived here until the Germans were expelled from Czechoslovakia . Until 1946 the place was officially called Kalmswiese .
Incorporations
Jalůvčí formed a district of Prostřední Žleb until 1953 and was incorporated into Děčín in 1954 together with Prostřední Žleb.
