James Athikalam
James Athikalam MST (born July 5, 1958 in Pulinkunnu , Kerala , India ) is an Indian religious and Syro-Malabar bishop of Sagar .
Life
James Athikalam joined the Congregation of the Missionary Society of St. Thomas the Apostle in and received on 22 March 1984, the sacrament of Holy Orders .
On January 12, 2018, Pope Francis appointed him Bishop of Sagar. The Grand Archbishop of Ernakulam-Angamaly , George Cardinal Alencherry , donated him episcopal ordination on April 17th of the same year ; Co- consecrators were the Archbishop of Changanacherry , Joseph Perumthottam , and the Bishop Emeritus of Sagar, Anthony Chirayath .
