James Byers (born March 1, 1994 in Perth ) is an Australian ice hockey player who has been under contract with CBR Brave in the Australian Ice Hockey League since 2014 .

Career

James Byers began his career as a hockey player with the Regina Flames in the South Saskatchewan Minor Hockey League in Canada. In 2012 he returned to Australia and played two years for the Canberra Knights in the Australian Ice Hockey League . When the capital city club had to stop playing for financial reasons after the 2013 season , he moved to the successor club CBR Brave from the suburb of Phillip .

International

In the junior division, Byers took part for Australia in the U18 World Championships in Division III 2011 and Division II in 2012 and in the U20 World Championships in 2014 in Division II. For the men's national team , he was on the ice at the World Championships in Division II in 2014 , 2015 and 2016 .
