James Elliot Bourne (born September 13, 1983 in Southend , Essex ) is an English musician. After his first band Busted (consisting of Charles Robert Simpson , Matthew James Willis and James Elliot Bourne ) split up, he formed the band Son of Dork .

Career

Bourne was a middle class kid. His father Peter had founded a profitable import-export company. James was the first child of the Bourne family, followed by Nick, Melissa and Chris.

Because of his pollen allergy , it was almost impossible for Bourne to spend the school break outdoors. As a pastime he played the guitar, which is how he discovered his love for music . As a teenager, he founded the band Sic Puppy , which consisted of two other members and mainly covered Nirvana and Green Day songs. Since they were not very successful, they finally separated. Bourne went to college to take a musicology course. At a concert in Southend he met his friend Matthew James Willis . They formed the band Busted with Charlie Simpson . Bourne left college and took on the singing , songwriting, and electric guitar . The band was particularly successful in England and Japan . In 2005, Busted finally split because Simpson wanted to go on tour with his band Fightstar .

Bourne formed a new band called Son Of Dork . They focused on England , where they had some success. After Son of Dork split up in 2008, Bourne began various solo projects such as Future Boy and his 2009 album.

Furthermore, Bourne wrote and composed the musical Loserville with Elliot Davis , which was performed 2012-2013 in London's West End. Many Son of Dork songs were rewritten and used for this purpose. Working with Davis worked so well that shortly afterwards they wrote a second musical called Out There .

In 2013, Bourne and Matt reunited Willis Busted. However, since Charlie Simpson was on tour with his solo album, they asked for help from their friends, McFly, and so formed McBusted .

McBusted split up again in 2015 because Simpson wanted to reunite too. So Busted was re-established in 2015.
