James Foley (Bishop)
James Foley (born July 19, 1948 in Brisbane , Australia ) is an Australian clergyman and Bishop of Cairns .
Life
James Foley received on 27 January 1968 by the Archbishop of Brisbane , Francis Roberts Rush , the sacrament of Holy Orders .
On July 16, 1992, Pope John Paul II appointed him Bishop of Cairns . The Archbishop of Brisbane, John Alexius Bathersby , ordained him episcopally on August 21 of the same year ; Co- consecrators were Archbishop Emeritus of Brisbane, Francis Roberts Rush, and Bishop Emeritus of Cairns, John Ahern Torpie .
