James Munyala
James Munyala (born November 2, 1952 ) is a retired Kenyan obstacle and middle distance and long distance runner .
In 1978 he won over 3000 m obstacle at the Africa Games in Algiers and at the Commonwealth Games in Edmonton silver, both beaten by his compatriot Henry Rono .
In 1985, he finished second in the Twin Cities Marathon .
In 1977 he became US champion over 3000 m obstacle. Starting for the University of Texas at El Paso , he became NCAA champion in the 3000 m obstacle course in 1975, 1976 and 1977 and in 1978 NCAA indoor champion in the mile run .
