James Whitworth

James Whitworth Jr. (born February 19, 1936 in Brooklyn , New York City , † December 15, 1991 in Griswold , Iowa ) was an American actor .

Life

Whitworth began acting in various films as a supporting actor in the early 1970s. Thanks to his striking appearance and a height of 1.96 meters, he was often given the roles of the unapproachable eccentric. In 1972 he had an episode role in the television series Cobra Take Over . In 1975 he was seen in an episode of the television series The Invisible One . In the same year he worked under the stage name Cecil Baker in the film Virgin Cowboy . He became better known for his roles in Bloody Eyes Hill and Planet of the Dinosaurs in 1977. In the same year he starred in an episode of the television series Rockford Detective - A Call Enough and the feature film .357 Magnum with. He then reduced his acting activity to castings in individual episodes of various television series. In the early 1980s he retired from television acting.

Whitworth died on December 15, 1991 at the age of 55 of complications from bronchial carcinoma .
