Jami Ann Kranich (born May 27, 1992 in New Haven , Connecticut ) is an American soccer goalkeeper .
Career
During her studies at Villanova University , Kranich played for the Villanova Wildcats university team there from 2010 to 2013 . She also played for the Connecticut Passion team in the W-League and WPSL from 2009 to 2010 .
In early 2014, Kranich was signed to 32nd place by the Boston Breakers in the fourth round of the NWSL's college draft . If she did not pass regular goalkeeper Alyssa Naeher in the 2014 season , who played all games over the full season, Kranich finally made his debut on May 9, 2015 in an away defeat against the Chicago Red Stars in the Breakers' goal. She subsequently represented Naeher while she was participating with the United States in the 2015 World Cup and played a total of eight season games.
Shortly before the start of the 2016 season, Kranich was released from the Breakers and replaced by goalkeepers Abby Smith and Libby Stout . However, after Smith sustained a serious injury on the fourth day of the season, Kranich returned to the Breakers' squad by the end of the season.
National team
In 2012 and 2013, Kranich served one time each in the US U-20 and U-23 national teams. As a substitute goalkeeper, she won the gold medal with the United States at the 2012 U-20 World Cup
