Jan-Hinrich Fock (born April 18, 1946 in Hamburg-Finkenwerder ) is a German politician ( SPD ). From 2011 to 2015 he was a member of the Hamburg Parliament .

Professional and private

Fock works as a trade teacher for the subjects of metal and machine technology in Hamburg-Wilhelmsburg . He is married and has two children.

Political career

From 1974 to 2011, Fock was a member of the district assembly for the Hamburg-Mitte district , where he was, among other things, leader of the SPD parliamentary group.

In the state elections in Hamburg in 2011 , he ran for the SPD in the constituency of Billstedt-Wilhelmsburg-Finkenwerder . With 7.2 percent of the vote, he succeeded in entering parliament. Since March 7, 2011 he was a member of the Hamburg Parliament . In the 2015 mayor elections , he did not run for reasons of age.
