Jan Abraham from Gehema
Jan Abraham von Gehema (also: Janusz Abraham Gehama ; * 1647 in Danzig ; † 1715 ) was a heraldist and doctor .
He studied medicine in Gdansk and completed his studies in Leiden ( Netherlands ). In 1681 he was offered a doctorate in Königsberg . He is said to have given himself the title of “royal counselor and doctor”. From 1636 he worked as a personal physician for Duke Gustav Adolf von Mecklenburg-Güstrow . In 1695 he moved to Berlin to take up a position as a doctor.

- Organization of the chief herald's office on the instructions of King Friedrich I until 1709
- Heraldic writings of questionable scientific thoroughness
- In 1703 his work Short and Easy Method was published to teach a gentleman and nobleman the excellent science of Heerhold or heraldic art in one month.
