Jan Adriaensens
Jan Cesar Adriaensens (born June 6, 1932 in Willebroek ) is a former Belgian cyclist .
Jan Adriaensens was a professional cyclist from 1952 to 1961. He celebrated his greatest successes in the Tour de France , where he competed eight times. In 1956 he wore the yellow jersey for three stages and was third overall, ninth in 1957 , fourth in 1958 and seventh overall in 1959 . On the 1960 Tour he wore the leader's jersey for four days and came third again. At its last start in 1961 , it reached a tenth place.
In 1955 Adriaensens also won the Tour of Morocco , in 1956 the Four Days of Dunkirk and in 1957 the Tour of Ticino .
After retiring from cycling, he opened a successful beer trade.
