Jan Bühn

Jan Bühn (born March 3, 1991 in Heidelberg ) is a German motorcycle racer .

Career

Bühn initially rode a minibike . In 2005 he was promoted to the ADAC Junior Cup and finished fourth there in 2007. In 2008 he started for the first time in the International German Motorcycle Championship in the class up to 125 cm³ and finished eleventh. In the following year, Bühn reached 6th overall, he started for the Kiefer Racing Team .

In 2010, Bühn drove in the DMV circuit championship in the class up to 600 cc on a Yamaha , where he was champion with ten wins in ten races. He also made his first guest appearance in the European Championship at the Nürburgring . From 2011 to 2013 he started in the IDM Supersport on Suzuki and later on Yamaha. In 2014 he took part in the Spanish motorcycle championship in the Moto2 class and achieved 9th place as the best result.

In the 2015 season he started again in the IDM Supersport for the Räth Romero team , where he was champion with four victories. At the end of the season he was tied with the Finn Tatu Lauslehto with 275 points . The decisive factor for the award of the championship title in favor of Bühn was the higher number of second places (6: 2), since both achieved the same number of race wins. This was followed by promotion to the IDM Superstock 1000, where he took third place on a BMW . In 2017 , Bühn competed in the IDM Superbike for the first time. This time he secured third place behind Markus Reiterberger and Florian Alt .

In 2018 Bühn took the place of the FIM Superstock 1000 Cup on BMW and finished eleventh at the end of the season. In 2019 he returned to the IDM Superbike and finished the season in 10th place overall.
