Jan Bo Petersen

Jan Bo Petersen (born July 28, 1970 in Næstved ) is a former Danish cyclist .

Jan Bo Petersen was active as a cyclist from 1989 to 1997 on a national and international level, first as an amateur , later in the elite class, on track and road . He was particularly successful in the team pursuit and in the team time trial . Petersen was Danish champion nine times, in the disciplines of team and individual pursuit , in the points trial as well as in the individual and team time trials. In 1994 he was second in the overall ranking of the Cinturón Ciclista Internacional a Mallorca , and in 1995 he won the Berlin stage trip .

At the UCI Track World Championships in 1990 in Maebashi , Petersen was third in the points race, in 1991 in Stuttgart third in the single pursuit and in the points race, in 1993 with the Danish team third in the team pursuit, and in 1994 in Palermo he was vice world champion in Points race.

In 1992 Jan Bo Petersen started in three disciplines at the Olympic Games in Barcelona . In the team pursuit, he won the bronze medal together with Ken Frost , Jimmi Madsen , Klaus Kynde Nielsen and Michael Sandstød . He was tenth in the single pursuit and 18th in the points race.
