Obersachswerfen is a district of the municipality of Hohenstein in the Nordhausen district in Thuringia .
geography
Obersachswerfen is located on the Uffe , which in Thuringia is known as the Sachsengraben . Landesstrasse 2067, also called Südharzstrasse, runs through the district . State road 2062 joins them, which is a feeder from federal road 243 . The demarcation is docked , precisely the karst area of the Vorharz .
history
On June 17, 1129 the place Obersachswerfen was first mentioned in a document.
The once independent municipality of Obersachswerfen belonged to the Grenzland administrative community from 1991 to 1996 . With the dissolution of this on October 17, 1996, the member communities were merged to form the community of Hohenstein.
Stables at the entrance to the village announce two new farms. They belong to resettlers who raise cattle and dairy farmers.
With funds from the village renewal, a fire station with a local administration office and meeting room was built.
